This lovely short climb is definitely on the border between climbing and mountaineering. And since we normally climb it with approach shoes we would recommend it for you as well. If you would feel more comfortable climbing it in climbing shoes we advise to take more comfortable ones.
It is reccomended as a first multipitch climbing experience.
We approach the climb for Vršič pass. Follow the trail for about 1h of easy hiking to the start of the climb. It starts already quite steep and the first pitch will tell us how good you will feel on the rest of the route. After that it is about 250 m of climbing more or less solid rock to the top. From there we could descend back to the car or continue to the top of Mala Mojstrovka. This depends on the weather and how strong we feel.
Like with all other tours the weather and conditions can be dangerous and do not allow us to finish the tour as planned. In this case Plan B will be proposed. Usually that is climbing a Via Ferrata in the valley. If Plan B is not accepted by the client we take the full amount of the booking fee.
