Trip description

Everything you need to know

Slovenia is not very well known for its ski touring – mainly because the tours are long or tough. Lower elevation mountains are in this time of global warming also being more affected. In this case we have options that are higher up.

There are few ski resorts around that offer some freeriding options. And even a closed one where ski touring is a must if you want to enjoy your turns. Earn your turns, we say.

Depending on the conditions we can go powder skiing in the forest or spring snow skiing in the mountains. And depending on your ski knowledge and adventurous spirit we can go steep skiing in the couloirs or stick closer to more mellow slopes.

Our guides will give you tips on how to indulge in Slovene culture and cuisine, just ask we will guide you around the apres ski.

itinerary

Day by Day

Day 1:

After checking all the gear and briefing on the conditions that we will have in the following week we will drive towards a selected ski resort. There the guide will assess the experience of the group. With that information he will decide which tours would be most suited for your maximised experience.

Days 2-5:

Depending on the group’s experience and fitness level the guide will select appropriate tours. Pickup in the morning from your accommodation and drop off will be around 8am – 16pm.

With prior announcement and proper ability we could arrange an overnight stay in a mountain hut.
