Everything you need to know

Unforgettable ski touring journey through the heart of Triglav National Park, exploring some of the most breathtaking alpine landscapes in Slovenia.

This five-day adventure takes you from the valley of Krma, through the iconic Triglav massif, across the pristine 7 Lakes Valley, and concludes with an exhilarating descent to the Vogel ski resort.

Along the way, we stay in two of the most scenic mountain huts—Kredarica and Komna—offering warm hospitality amidst the rugged beauty of the Julian Alps.

Day by Day

Day 1: Skitour to Kredarica Hut

  • Gradual ascent through alpine forests and open slopes, leading towards Kredarica Hut (2,515m), the highest mountain hut in Slovenia, where we stay for two nights.
  • Enjoy a warm meal and stunning sunset views over the Julian Alps.

 

Day 2: Summit of Triglav (Optional) & Skiing around Kredarica

  • For those seeking an extra challenge, an early morning ascent of Triglav (2,864m) is an option.
  • Afterward, enjoy skiing in the surrounding terrain, with fantastic descents in the high alpine environment.
  • Return to Kredarica Hut for another night, preparing for the next leg of the journey.

 

Day 3: Kredarica to Komna via Kanjavec

  • Ski down from Kredarica before climbing towards Kanjavec (2,569m), a stunning peak offering panoramic views.
  • Enjoy a long and rewarding ski descent into the breathtaking 7 Lakes Valley.
  • Continue touring towards Komna Hut (1,520m), where we settle in for two nights.

 

Day 4: Exploring the Komna Plateau

  • A flexible day to explore the surrounding ski terrain, searching for the best snow conditions.
  • Possible ski tours include peaks like Lanževica, Bogatin or even Krn.
  • Return to Komna Hut for another night.

 

Day 5: Final Ski Tour to Vogel Ski Resort

  • Traverse towards the Vogel ski area, passing under the Bohinj Mountains.
  • Conclude the adventure with a lift ride that takes us down to Lake Bohinj.
  • Celebrate the end of an epic hut to hut trip with a well-earned meal and drinks in a local restaurant.

Triglav Haute Route crosses a few sections that can be dangerous in tricky avalanche conditions. In that we would offer doing day trips from the valley in the areas where conditions might be safer.
