The Route: A Slovenian Alpine Classic
The Zeleniške špice traverse is not a standard hiking path; it is a serious mountaineering objective that bridges the gap between scrambling and technical rock climbing.
Continuous Exposure: The route follows a highly atmospheric ridge dividing the Repov Kot and Kamniška Blea valleys below. You’ll experience incredible airy positions from the moment you step onto the crest.
Technical Scrambling & Climbing: Expect a dynamic mix of moving together on short-rope, technical down-climbing, and distinct climbing pitches up to grade II/III(UIAA).
Wild & Pure Environment: Unlike some of the heavily modified hiking paths in the region, the Zeleniške špice retained an authentic, rugged alpine character. It requires a keen eye for route-finding and flawless rope management.

Itinerary Blueprint
01 / The Approach: We meet early at the trailhead in the Kamniška Bistrica valley. A steep, scenic approach through pristine beech and larch forests and a gully brings us to the start of the ridge under the Staničev Vrh mountain.
02 / The Ridge: We tie into the rope and begin the traverse. The route winds over a series of jagged towers, requiring a seamless flow of climbing, down-climbing, and traversing narrow ledges to the top of the last summit.
03 / The Descent: After soaking in the panoramic views of Planjava and Ojstrica from the final summits, we transition to a controlled descent back into the valley, wrapping up a classic day in the Slovenian Alps.

And in favourable avalanche condition the route can be done in winter as well.
Like with all other tours the weather and conditions can be dangerous and do not allow us to finish the tour as planned. In this case Plan B will be proposed. Usually that is climbing a Via Ferrata in the valley. If Plan B is not accepted by the client we take the full amount of the booking fee.
